Back to the Mary Annie

I will be headed back to Ft. Pierce Florida tomorrow with Amy to get the boat back in the water for another adventure in sailing. We will sail around Ft. Pierce for a week and Amy will then fly home. I will bring the boat back to Lake Pontchartrain to find a home for it for the winter. Bringing the boat closer to home will allow me to sail and work on it through the winter. Next February I plan to sail it back around Florida and up the east coast to Maine. This plan will allow me to get more sailing experience in the Gulf before heading up into the tougher North Atlantic.

New Providence Island to Berry Island to Grand Bahama Island to Ft. Pierce, Florida with my buddy T.O.

Pete flies home and my buddy T.O. arrives. I make him tour Atlantis aquarium before we head to Berry Islands.

We hook into another mahi mahi as we sail to Berry Islands.

This fish gives us 5 days of good eating.

Crossing the Gulf Stream and headed towards Lake Worth Inlet. We had a very nice crossing.

On the ICW headed for Ft. Pierce, Florida to clear customs and put the boat up.

We followed this guy from North Carolina all day on the ICW. It was much fun.

This is Cambridge Cay anchorage after leaving Staniel Cay and heading back to Nassau.

Norman Cay is a beautiful place.

I used conch for bait and hooked a nice snapper during the night.

Ship Cay was a great stop. We bought a meal ticket for $20 and had a great lunch with the Powerboat Adventures group. Shane did us right with his special tropical cocktails.
